Description:Pictured, from left to right, are Jim Atkinson of Hope Marsh, Harry Bailey and the Harrison sisters who were evacuees from Derby staying at Greenside at the Raikes, Alstonefield.

Jim Atkinson, who was working the hand cranked shearing machine, was tragically killed in 1944 when he picked up an unexploded hand grenade near Hope Dale pond.
