Description:A wagon from the Nestlés factory at Hatton pictured carrying milk churns at the top of Castle Street, Tutbury.

The Hatton factory was originally built in 1901 by the Nestlé Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. It processed milk from local farms, making use of the railway to bring in raw milk and deliver processed goods. The factory was extensively rebuilt and expanded in the 1950s and in 1959 began the instant coffee production which it now (in 2008) concentrates on.
