Description:This photograph shows the Hill family brothers (including the image donor's great-grandfather Sam Hill and grandfather Reg Hill), sons and some of their employees outside the garage on the corner of Wellington Road and Bucknall New Road. The family had a license to run motor buses on a number of routes in competition to the then popular trams. They successfully traded until selling the business to the company that became the Potteries Motor Traction (PMT)company.
