Description:Linen background. Coloured wool threads. Alphabet, numerals, animal, flower, tree and geometric motifs within simple border. Inscribed: 'Elizabeth Tomkinson Aged 11 years 1815.' From the Staffordshire County Collection. 213mm x 270mm.

Verse: 'This is to know and let you see what care my
parents took on me. This work in hand my friends
May have. When I am dead and in my grave ----'
