Description:The Windmill Inn and disused windmill at Meir Heath.

The windmill was in existence by 1775, and was a red brick tower with four sails, boat cap and a tailpole. It ceased work in the early 20th century. It was converted into a water tower in 1908 and was used as an Observation Post during the 2nd World War.
