Description:Some members of the Howson family of Manor House, Calton, with two men in Army uniforms. Edward Howson and his wife Ellen took possession of Manor House in February 1918.

Manor House was built around 1849. In October 1989 Rev. Hodgson opened the Churches Rural Centre in the house, running courses in Christian Rural Studies.
