Description:Moira Forsyth 1905 - 1991.

Bowl. 1991.P.86 c. 1920-1939. Over glaze lustre painted earthenware D : 231 mm.

Earthenware bowl decorated with over glaze painted iridescent reduced lustre. The interior is painted with tree and foliage merging into the gold lustre. The exterior has the resist inscription: 'HE THAT IS SLOW TO ANGER IS BETTER THAN THE MIGHTY AND HE THAT RULETH HIS SPIRIT THAN HE THAT TAKETH A CITY'.
