Description:‘Emblem of Hope’, a horse-drawn decorated float entered by the Lotus Ltd.’s Closing Department employees in the annual Trades and Friendly Societies' Pageant. This photograph was taken outside the Lotus Factory off Freeman Street.

The procession through Stafford ended with a fair on the town common. A prize was awarded to the best decorated entries and along the route collections were made for Stafford General Infirmary.

Lotus entered between ten and fifteen floats each year and judged their own entries prior to entering the pageant.
