Description:View looking towards Greengate Street.

On the left are the Old Blue Posts and the Fountain Inn. The Old Blue Posts was close to the Lyceum Theatre, which it relied on for much of its trade. When the theatre began to decline, so did the inn and the landlord Will J Bird was forced to declare himself bankrupt in 1905. Eleys Stafford Brewery took over the inn later that year.

On the right are the County Buildings, erected in 1895, which joined onto the other buildings on Martin Street.

The house on the end was demolished to make way for the library extension in 1900.
