Description:Glazed Earthenware.

H. 4.9 x W.31.4 cm.

Large earthenware dish thrown round and reshaped by taking out a leaf shaped piece of clay and pressing the sides together to form an oval produced by Elijah Comfort, decorated by Michael Cardew, at Winchcombe Pottery, Gloucestershire, England.

White slip-trailed design of a bird upon a black/brown background with a wavy green slip-trailed decoration around the border, lead glazed, base unglazed.
