Description:A shoemaker's tool, used during the finishing process, also known as a bunking wheel.
The tool wheel is heated and then run round the top of the sole. This is to enhance the appearance of machine stitched boots and shoes to give the appearance of being hand sewn. It produces a firm line of indents parallel to the edge of the sole and waist called the 'bunk'.
This particular tool was used by Mr Jenkinson, a Stafford shoemaker.
