James and Harriett Dyche

Description:James Dyche (born Stafford 1852) and his wife Harriett (nee Ward, born Abbots Bromley 1852). They were married at St Mary's Church, Stafford in 1877 and this photograph was probably taken shortly afterwards.

James Dyche was a shoe manufacturer. The J. Dyche (later Cook & Dyche) factory stood in Fancy Walk, Stafford and was also known as the Queen of Sheba works.
