Description:Set of 19 quill and camel hair brushes.
Also known as pencils.
Used by pottery paintresses to decorate ware.
There are a variety of lengths and types in this set, including shaders and liners.
The camel hair is tied with thread and held in a natural quill.
Camel hair became too expensive in the 1960s and was replaced by sable.
Paintresses would use their own handles.
