Description:This photograph was taken in the spring of 2003 and shows the degree of dilapidation that has occurred since the mill was damaged during a storm in January 1997. Walk Mill dates from the late eighteenth century and was used for grinding corn. There was an earlier mill on this site which was used for fulling or “walking” cloth, hence the name. The Mill is part of a Conservation Area.
