Description:Hazel Dene, Great Haywood. This house stood on the site now occupied by Hazeldene Surgery, off Trent Close. J.R.R. Tolkien and his wife Edith lived in rooms here briefly in 1916 when it was the home of Mr and Mrs Kendrick. Before that Dr. Bull lived here.
