Description:This rail accident occurred when a mineral train coming from the Bramshall direction ran into a Class C train. The Class C train was driven into a Midland Railway milk van standing at the rear of the train bound for Ashbourne, to avoid a oncoming passenger train heading for Derby. The milk van was pushed onto the platform, while the Ashbourne train was de-railed.
