Description:Watercolour painting by John Louis Petit (1801-1868). Stydd Hall, near Yeaveley in Derbyshire.

Stydd Hall is 17th century tower house which stands at the centre of the moated site of the medieval preceptory of the Knights Hospitallers. The house is built on medieval foundations and there are also some remains of some of the domestic buildings of the preceptory. The house is built of brick and stone.
