Description:Oil painting on canvas by T.W. Jones, showing the Noah's Ark Inn from the north east before alterations.

The Noah's Ark on Crabbery Street was originally built as a town house in the sixteenth century. In August 1575 Queen Elizabeth I took wine here during her journey through the town.

In the late 1800s the building was altered when the road was widened. This involved removing a timber framed porch and the three-gable room above.

The building was converted into offices in 1967, but is now Stafford Ale House in 2012.
