The shop in the foreground was a bakers and confectioners. Next door was the Woolpack Inn, demolished to make way for the Baths Hotel in the 1890s.
In the distance can be seen Chetwynd House (now, in 2015, the Post House) built in 1712-1715 by William Chetwynd (1683?-1770)and the top of St. Mary's church tower.
