Description:Police Constable Joseph Eastbury with his family and pet dog outside the village Police House in Newborough.

Born around 1879, Joseph Eastbury married Beatrice Davies at Leigh, Staffrdshire in 1905. At the time of the 1911 census he was a Police constable at Newborough and had two children: Joseph Gerald born 1906, and Beatrice Kathleen born 1908. Joseph Eastbury died in June 1938, aged 59, and was living at Branston Road, Burton-upon-Trent at the time. He was a Policeman for 28 years, 21 of which he was based at Newborough.
