Description:This row of houses was known as ‘the Barracks’ which stood in the hamlet of Stockwell Heath, near Colton, on Newlands Lane. The Barracks were built in 1793 by Colton Parish Lands Trust as almshouses for the poor of the parish. They were demolished in the 1960’s.
