Description:The Earl of Dartmouth built a private golf course here c.1900, which no longer remains.

The Golf House was owned by the Earl of Dartmouth, and was used as the Headquarters of the Patshull Division of the Staffordshire Yeomanry between 1914 and 1920.

The Golf House still exists today, but is leased to the Boy Scout movement by the Crown.
