Description:This group photograph shows fellow coopers following the 'trussing in' ceremony of Peter Atkin, at Bass Brewery, Burton upon Trent, on 12th April, 1952, looking forward to a celebration pint of best bitter. On the left of Peter is his father Allen, who was the cooper's storekeeper, and on his right is Walter Harrison, who was his tutor during his six year apprenticeship.
