Description:St. Dominic's convent, church and priory school opened in May 1854. St. Dominic's was founded by Mother Margaret Hallahan of the Dominican Order.

The Church of the Immaculate Conception and St. Dominic stands on Margaret Street and was built in 1852-4 to designs by Charles Hansom. The east end was added in 1861-3 and is by Gilbert Blount.
