Description:A group of Lotus Ltd staff and families waiting for buses on Oulton Road. The factory chimney can be seen to the right hand side.

On the far left is Sid Saunders, his wife Olive, and standing in front of them their daughter Christine. Mr Saunders was known to many Stone residents as the St John's Ambulance man who stood by the pay kiosk in the Stone Cinema for evening showings.

Standing in the road and carrying a black handbag is Nellie Marson.
