Date:August 1914

Description:The 5th Battallion of the North Staffordshire Territorials onn their way to Burton during general mobilisation in August 1914. They were one of the first Companies to go to France.

In the foreground is a bridge spanning the River Blythe and to the left is Bill Hurst's Motorcycle Shop and 'Minshalls' Confectionery Shop beyond.
