Description:The unveiling of Weston War Memorial by Col. Sir Walter Congreve of Chartley Hall on May 24th, 1923. Col. Congre​ve and Rev. Edwards are the only two not wearing hats.

Front row: 2nd from left Mr. Greenwo​od with cloth cap and arms at his side; Col. Congre​ve (the tall hatless man in long dark overcoat); Walter Fradley in trilby with light band and paper in his hand, Rev.Edward​s in surplice and stole; Bill Elsmore in cloth cap and wearing neck scarf; Tommy Rock in cloth cap and wearing medals. Behind him on his right is Tom Hampton, behind him on his left Bill Dix in trilby. Jack Fradley, wearing a trilby is standing on the steps next to the memorial and on his left is Pat Dix wearing a trilby.

Joan Wilson, nee Fradley, provided the photo and identified various people in 2003. Her father was Jack Fradley.
