Description:A view of the platforms at Leigh station, looking north west towards Cresswell. The station stood on the Uttoxeter to Stoke-on-Trent line on the North Staffordshire Railway, and was opened in 1848. The station closed in 1966 but the level crossing remains.

The milk churns on both platforms are returned empties for the Leigh Metropolitan Dairy which stood next to the station, to the right of this postcard view.
