Description:Sir Charles Wheeler was a prominent sculpturer, and became the first sculpturer to hold office of President of the Royal Academy.

He was born in 1892, in the house (pictured),which is still there today. He made The Lone Singer scuplture for the village centre. He was buried in St Nicholas' Church graveyard, Codsall in 1974.
