Description:Children in patriotic fancy dress at Common Plot. Most of them lived on York Street.

The children pictured left to right are: Doreen Spencer (née Gunn); Ivy Isabelle Wood; Connie Schofield; Joyce Schofield (dressed as Britannia); Arthur Gee (dressed as John Bull); Graham Richardson (dressed as a cook, biting a loaf of bread); Tim Warrilow (dressed as Robin Hood); Stella Plews (née Tompkinson, dressed as a Red Indian); Rosemary Wood (dressed as a fairy).
