Description:The police station in the photograph stands on Bellbrook, at its junction with Cannock Road which was built in 1858, originally as a savings bank. By the 1880s it was in use as a police station, which included a Court Room for the Penkridge Petty Sessions (police courts), two prison cells, and accommodation for a sergeant and a constable.

More recently when the 'new' police station was built, the building became Penkridge Library.
