Description:Cox Green takes its name from the Cox family, who were landowners in Enville parish during the 15th century. The ground floor of Cox Green Farmhouse is a late medieval timber framed structure. The timber-framed extension (on the right hand side of this photograph) was built in the 16th century. Much of the house was rebuilt in brick during the 17th century. It was restored in 1981.
