Description:The suggested new colour scheme for the Main Ward (Number 18). The drawing is the work of the Walpamur Company who submitted it to St. Edwards Hospital to consider as a proposal for the re-decoration of Ward 18. The company was established in 1915 to manufacture decorative paint. Since that date, the Company has been owned by a number of major groups and has undergone a number of name changes. Currently it is known as Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings Limited, which now manufactures well-known brands such as Crown, Brolac, Macphersons, Sandtex, Permoglaze and Sikkens.
