Description:In the summer of 1941 schoolboys were recruited across the country to work on the land during the labour shortage caused by the Second World War effort. They were organised in camps under the direction of their schoolmasters. This camp, which lasted two weeks, was organised by Edward Wilson, chemistry master at Thomas Alleyne's school in Uttoxeter.
