Leek Club Day is an annual event which begins in the Market Place with an assembly of people from local churches of many denominations for a short service. This is followed by a procession where groups from each Church take part and includes: Sunday School children, Scouts, Guides, Mother and Infant groups and several bands who provide music as they walk with flags and banners along a route of one mile around the streets of Leek before returning to the Market Place.

The day's events have been an important feature of life in in the town since the early 19th century, and crowds come out to watch the procession and activities. Over the years the event has been known by several names including: Cap Sunday, Leek Sunday School Scholars Festival, Walking Round Day and since 2002 it has been known as Leek Club Day, which usually takes place on the second Saturday in July.
