Description:The tall boiler house chimne, pit head offices and two sets of winding gear are visible. Slag heaps and rail tracks are in the foreground. Baggeridge was sunk in February 1899, mining a coal seam at a depth of 600 feet. A second shaft was sunk in 1910 and the colliery came into full production in 1912.
