Description:The blessing of the site of new Catholic school on Springfield Road, Uttoxeter. Pictured is the cutting of the first sod being undertaken by Joseph Bamford, J.P. Also present were Henry Bamford, the Very Rev. W. Canon Buscot (left) and the Schoolmaster Mr Wallace (right). The onlookers are mainly schoolchildren from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic School.
