Description:Some of the vitrifying tunnel kilns. In these kilns the fusible clay bonds were melted at over 1,300 degrees Celsius in order to make the glass bond which holds the abrasive grains together. Inside Factory No.1 at the Universal Grinding Wheel factory on Doxey Road, Stafford.
