Description:Cricket was first played at Swynnerton Park in 1892 when the club won a match against Stone Cricket Club. The original pavilion (pictured) was built in 1912 and avoided being damaged by a bomb which landed near the square during the Second World War. A piece of shrapnel is now on display at the club. The pavilion was replaced in 2004. Swynnerton Park Cricket Club merged with Stone Cricket Club in 2007 to become Stone SP Cricket Club.
