Description:This postcard dates well before the installation of the clock and war memorial. Looking up to High Green from the Church Street junction, with the Crown Inn on the right. Note too the Monkey Puzzle tree and pillar box on the right, and not a motor car in sight! Is the lady in the foreground purposefully striding to post a letter in the box which can just be seen on the right?

Postcard published at the 'Advertiser' Office, Cannock. Message dated December 1918.
