Description:A postcard view of one of the two chimneypieces in the Banquet Hall. The encaustic tiles in the hearth were supplied by Herbert Minton.

Over the years this room was also known as the Great Dining Room and the Dining Room. Following the 1924 sale many of the state rooms including the Dining Room, “T” Room and Music Room were turned into Cafés to cater for the hordes of visitors.
