Description:Narrowboats moored at Barton Marina on the Trent and Mersey Canal, near Barton-under-Needwood.

Excavation of gravel and sand started on the site in 1994, and the Marina opened in 2001. As well as mooring for over 300 boats, Barton Marina has the Waterfront pub, other eating places, shops and a cinema.
