Date:1975

Description:In 1974 this shop with offices above belonged to Frederick H. Burgess, Agricultural Engineers and Ironmongers, at The Green in Stafford. Following the construction of additional ground floor retail space and extra office accommodation during 1975, the ground floor sales area was renamed Walter Danks while the offices above continued as Burgess. In this view which was taken by Tony Boydon it is possible to see the join in the brickwork between the old and the new building just above the Walter Danks sign. This building, along with several others on the site was demolished in 2002. The site was formerly occupied by Eley's Brewery.
