Description:A group of convalescing military personnel during World War I photographed against the south-facing window of Ravenhill House, adjacent to the garden. The centrally seated man has his head bandaged whilst the man next to him in the wheel chair is an amputee.
The hospital was always full to capacity. In 1917 a total of 347 patients were accommodated for an average stay of twenty seven and a half days.
