Description:This type of dipper was used on narrowboats to take water from the canal for cleaning puposes, and for the watering of animals.
Painted in traditional 'roses and castles' decoration by Lisa Jenkins of Norbury Junction, Staffordshire.
The red flowers are are painted in the Braunston style, the yellow flowers in the Northern Stafford, and the white in Fellows, Morton and Clayton style.
