Description:CASE VII. John Bourne, of Fenton

Employed by Messrs. George and Charles Mason and Co. For ten months he was made to pay two shillings and six-pence rent on a house that he never lived in.

CASE VIII. Joseph Murry, of Cobridge

Was forced to take half his wages in Truck at a cost considerably above the market price. He was forced to pay his rent in goods.

CASE IX. George Robinson, of Hot Lane in the parish of Burslem

He worked for a Truck Master in Burslem and had to sell the goods he received at a considerable loss to pay for lodgings and other necessaries

CASE X. John Ridgway, of Hanley

A property owner who was forced to take goods in payment of rent at a very extravagant price because his tenants were payed in Truck. He describes the families as being in a most deplorable state of wretchedness.

CASE XI. Thomas Goodwin, of Lane End

Worked for a Truck Master for ten months and was charged rent for a house he had not lived in.
