Description:Sir Stafford Cripps, was visiting Boulton Paul Ltd. in his capacity as minister of aircraft production, during the Second World War. He was a prominent British statesman and was promoted several times, to later become Chancellor of the Exchequer, before retiring in 1950. He is shown talking to a member of Boulton Paul's staff, beside a 'D' type turret. This type of turret was fitted to the Defiant aircraft which was a World War Two Bomber Destroyer.
