Description:This view looks north-west along Eastgate Street to an area known as 'Pitcher Bank'. On the left is Tipping Street and the white building by the junction is the Joule's Grade II Listed 'Shrewsbury Arms' public house, which remains today (2025). It dates from the late 18th century with a mid-19th century front. On the right just behind the bus shelter is Groucott's Fish and Chip Restaurant which in 1966 became their 'Coral Reef' Restaurant. The building was later sub-divided and occupied on the left by a Dentists Practice and on the right by a Solicitors Chambers.
