Description:Norton Hall was built around 1780 and demolished in 1933. During the latter part of the 19th century it was the home of Colonel W. Harrison. In 1909 the Staffordshire Territorial Force took out a 28 year lease on the hall and from 1913 it was occupied by the North Midland Divisional Engineers. By 1933 the army had moved out and the building was suffering from mining subsidence.
