Description:Generators manufactured by English Electric Co. which powered the Lotus shoe factory on Sandon Road. The Sandon Road factory was demolished in 1998.

English Electric was formerly Siemens Bros., who manufactured generators, electric motors and various other electrical appliances. Siemen's was on Lichfield Road. In 1918 Siemen's merged with several companies, including Dick, Kerr and Co., to become the English Electric Co.
